The DICOMDIR file (medical directory) is a DICOM encoded file containing summary information and references to all images on the CD. It has been written according to DICOM Part 10 and the specifications of Supplement 19: General Purpose CD-R Image Interchange Profile.

The documentation directory DOC contains the documentation you are now reading.

The directory DICOM contains the images from each vendor in separate subdirectories:

• DICOM\GE
  

  The GE directory contains images from General Electric Medical Systems. See the GE Vendor Documentation for more details about these images.

• DICOM\PHILIPS
  

  The PHILIPS directory contains images from Philips Electric Medical Systems. See the Philips Vendor Documentation for more details about these images.

• DICOM\SIEMENS
  

  The SIEMENS directory contains images from Siemens AG, Medizinische Technik. See the Siemens Vendor Documentation for more details about these images.

The README file is an ascii text file containing some basic information for those without access to a WWW browser.
